ASSASSINATION OF THE KING
TRIAL HELD IN AFGHANISTAN.
TWO CONVICTED AND EXECUTED.

The Afghan Legation announced that Abdul Khaliq and three others, Mahmood Abdullah, and Ishaq, were tried at Kabul for the assassination of King Nadir Shar. Khaliq and Mahmood were sentenced to death after the police had prevented an infuriated crowd from lynching the prisoners. The crowd subsequently demanded the execution of all four. Khaliq and Mahmood were executed.
