SCHOOL CONCERT HELD. The Meremere school concert was held on Friday. The programme was: Song, seniors, “Put a Little Springtime”; pianoforte solo, Agnes Lane; play, “The Three Bears,” juniors; dance, “Crested Hen,” juniors; recitation, “Rice Pudding,” Ruby Davison; drill, juniors; recitation, “The Brown’s New House,” Joe Davison; song, “The Chinaman,” juniors; “Shoemaker’s Dance,” primers; recitation, “Fairy Radio,” Billy Williams; song, “Lullaby,” junior girls; dance, “Rufty Tufty,” seniors; scng, “There was a Little Man,” junior fx>ys} recitation,.
“Happiness,” Bryce Williams; song, “All Thro’ the JJight,” seniors; play,' “Mother Goose’s Party,” juniors; song, “The Wedding of the Painted Doll,” seniors and juniors; recitation, “Missing,” Aileen Bloor; play, “Peter Coffin,” senior boys; Alsatian dance, senior girls; drill, seniors; skipping dance, Audrey Williams; play, “Magic Word,” seniors. The Girls’ Club gave a farewell afternoon to Miss E. Murray, who is shortly to be married. Miss Wallace, in presenting Miss Murray with a suitcase spoke of the good work she had done for the club since its formation. Miss Murray had been president for two years and Miss G. Parnell was elected to fill her place.
