CHRISTMAS PANTOMIME. ‘TETER PAN AND WENDY” FROCKS. Elaborate frocking will be a feature of the production by Miss Elwyn Riley in the Stratford Town Hall to-night of the Peter Pan and JVendy pantomime. Over 370 frocks will be worn during the performance. These include many striking character costumes and beautiful ballet frocks, and one of the most attractive solo frocks is’ worn by Wendy herself comprised of 144 yards of lace and strikingly relieved with scarlet. Peter Pan wears tight-fitting little tunics of brown and green. White frocks and picture hats are worn by the ballet girls in the “Blue Danube” ’ number. Another unusual frock is one made entirely of cellophane, and two delightful solo costumes are a white ballet frock made of 200 yards of frilling and an elaborate butterfly costume finish. The babies, always favourites, are delightful in blue crinolines with little white wings as fairies and as water babies, and they are quaint as little lost boys with their baby faces peeping out of little white suits. The finale, representing the four seasons, is a riot of colour. Spring in green, summer in pink, brown tonings for autumn, winter is grey, and a beautiful curtain of roses makes a fitting conclusion to this beautiful scene, while a very bright effect is obtained in a sea scene with a rainbow tinsel gauze curtain. The lighting effects will enhance even more the beautiful frocking.
