INTER-CLUB TENNIS MATCHES NORTH TARANAKI GAMES PLAYED. COMPETITION FOR THE SOFFE CUP. Inglewood headed the list of clubs competing in North Taranaki inter-club competitions for the Soffe Cup as a result of Saturday’s matches, having recorded wins in both the first and the second rounds. Waiwaka, which won its first round match, was defeated by New Plymouth on Saturday and Rotokare, the other winner in the first round, had a bye. New Plymouth fielded practically ite strongest team for the match against Waiwaka, which was played at New Plymouth. The winners’ strength was on the ladies’ side, only one single and’ one double being lost. For the second time in succession, the former occasion being in the North Taranaki residential championships, J. S. Leggat (Waiwaka) defeated C. H.
