MEDAL GOLF AT WAIWAKAIHO
GOOD SCORING ON SATURDAY. Despite the difficult nature of many of the greens the scoring was good 'in the second round of the New Plymouth Golf Club’s summer aggregate at Waiwakaiho on Saturday. H. W. Kirkby and K. F. Walker tied for first place with 73 nett and there were 15 with nett cards of 76 or better.
Owing to the holidays the third round of the summer aggregate will not take place until January 27. To-day being the half-holiday at New Plymouth, a bogey match will be played in the afternoon. The following adjustments to handicaps for summer competitions have been posted: G. F. Rich 10, J. S. Church 9, H. Tills 9, W. B. Glasgow 5, J. Davies 16, K. F. Walker 20, H. W. Kirkby 13. CADDIES’ CHAMPIONSHIP. DRAW FOR THURSDAY. Following is the draw for the morning and afternoon play in the caddies’ championship to be played at Waiwakaiho on Thursday:— Morning: 9 a.m., S. Holden and J. Jefries; 9.5, A. De Forges and M. Grounds; 9.10, R. Hagen and J. Holden; 9.15, B. Hagen and R. Pickering; 9.20, S. Hodson and A. Moffat. Afternoon: 12.0, S. Holden and R. Hagen; 12.5, J. Holden and J. Jeffries; 12.10, M. Grounds and A. Des Forges; 12.15, R. Pickering and S. Hodson; 12.20, A. Moffat and B. Hagen.
