ACCIDENTAL DEATH VERDICT

FINDING IN DROWNING FATALITY. EVIDENCE GIVEN BY HUSBAND. By Telegraph—Press Association. Christchurch, Dec. 1. At the inquest concerning the death of Mrs. Rose Boyle, whose body was found in the Walau River, Canterbury, the husband, A. P. Boyle, stock agent, gave evidence that since the birth of a child four months ago Mrs. Boyle had been suffering from insomnia. Later she had been in a rest house in Cashmere, where she was pronounced , cured, but on the advice of a doctor Boyle took her to Hamner, where she was perfectly normal. He had no cause for anxiety. On Thursday, November 23, they were baching with others at Marble Point, Waiau River. He and his wife bathed there. After a bath his wife walked away and he did not see her again. It was possible that she had slipped on a rock and fallen into the stream. The coroner, Mr. H. P. Lawrey, returned a verdict of accidental death by drowning.
