WHEN DOCTORS DISAGREE

MYSTERY OF MAN’S DEATH. VARIOUS CAUSES TESTIFIED TO. “Who shall agree when doctors disagree?” asked the coroner at an inquest at Perth recently on Patrick Muldoon. Muldoon was struck by a car in Perth, but went back to work; shearing 70 to 80 sheep a day. Eighteen days after the accident he died. Dr. Jesse Cooper gave a certificate that death was due to toxaemia, following influenza. Dr. McKenzie conducted a post-mortem, and certified that the cause of death was a fracture of the skull. Dr. Rowe, resident medical officer of Perth Public Hospital, said he was positive when he examined Muldoon after the accident that he then did not have a fracture of the skull.
