L After six days’ hearing in the Chancery Court Mr. Justice Maughan refused petitions for reorganisation of Dorman Long and Company, involving a reduction of capital from £11,248,000 to £1,750,000, and the amalgamation of the South Durham Steel and Iren Company. Subsequently Mr. Justice Bennett in the Chancery Division granted a debentureholder permission to apply for leave on December 8 to' serve a motion to appoint a receiver for Dorman Long and Co.
