The first step towards the selection of the Australian team, for England will be through a testimonial match for the benefit of veteran Victorian bowlers, D. Blackie and H. Ironmonger. Woodfull leads one team' consisting of Woodfull, Ponsford, Darling, Kippax, Nitschke, McCabe, Oakley, Oldfield, Blackie, Ironmonger and Wall with Fleetwood-Smith twelfth man, and Richardson’s team consists of V. Richardson, Fingleton, O’Brien, Bradman, Bromley, Lee, Rigg, Barnett, Nagel, O’Reilly, Nash with Grimmett twelfth man. The match extends till 'Wednesday next. The board of control decided at the request of the Australian captain Woodfull to send 16 men to England. The team will be announced on January 31. Only 15 went on the last tour.
