WALKER BEATS RUMBERG
CLEVERER WRESTLER WINS. LAST MATCH AT AUCKLAND. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. Out-generalled by a cleverer opponent, Hal. Rumberg was beaten by George Walker in the final match of the Auckland Wrestling Association’s season tonight, Walker taking the decision by two falls to one in a mediocre exhibition. Walker gained the first fall in the fourth round, catching his opponent unawares, after the latter had exploited a series of headlocks, with a back loop slam. Rumberg evened in the fifth with a dump, and the contest ended in the seventh when Walker, after being thrown round the ring by headlocks, bounced off the ropes to catch the American and throw him for the deciding fall.
