CABINET CRISIS AVOIDED
ARRANGEMENTS AT CANBERRA. CONCESSION ON PENSIONS. By Telegraph—Press Assn. —Copyright. Canberra, Oct. 18. The fear' of a Federal Ministerial crisis expressed last week has been removed by Cabinet giving the Country Party an assurance that it will afford further relief to old age and invalid pensioners. The number of Australian war pensions last year totalled 269,810 and the annual cost was £6,258,830.
