ATTACKED BY BULL
FARMER ROLLED ON GROUND. ESCAPE FROM SERIOUS INJURY. - Whakatane, Oct. 14. A farmer, Mr. T. Garlick, of Taneatua, was viciously attacked by a dehomed Jersey- bull yesterday morning. Mr. Garlick was working on his farm 1 at the time and in endeavouring to dodge the bull tripped and fell. The animal again attacked him and rolled him over several times. Mr. Garlick managed to catch hold of a bull-stop which was attached to the animal’s nose, and by this means prevented the bull from inflicting serious injury. Another man working nearby, observed Mr. Garlick's plight and went to his assistance- Mr. Garlick was fortunate in escaping with minor injuries, but he Will ba confined to his bed for a few days as the result of his experience. ..
