Decorated with ferns, apple blossom and azaleas the Oakura hall on Tuesday night presented a very pleasing appearance for the “back to childhood” dance held in aid of the tennis club. Those in juvenile costumes were Mesdames C. J. Harris, L. Grey and J. Jans, Misses V. Price, M. Rusling, M. Price, F. Bell, N. Staveley, M. Jans, I. Allen and L. Knight, Messrs. J. Jans, L. Rusling, S. Jago, H. Lees, C. Jans, P. Grey, A. Phillips. Working-bees have finished the preliminary work at the tennis courts and the ground is ready for the contractors. Mr. Jack Connor has returned from Auckland.
Mrs. Roy Julian has returned home with her infant son.
