BOTTLE OF GOLD
INSURANCE PREMIUM PAID. A surprise was received by the A.M.P. Society recently when a small bottle of gold was delivered in the mail received in Melbourne from a country
member in payment of his assurance premium. The member explained that he and his son were carrying on mining operations, but as the price paid for gold in Sydney was much better than the local price, he would deem it a favour if the society would sell the gold for him. The A.M.P. placed the gold in the hands of a firm of buyers, and the parcel yielded more than enough to sustain the member’s policy in full force.
