PIGEON RACING
FLIGHT FROM PAEKAKARIKI. The Egmont Homing Club held a race from Paekakariki. to New Plymouth, a distance for 170 miles, on October 14. The race was for second hamper birds and four lofts competed, for J. James, whose birds are flying very consistently, being the winner. The weather was again showery and unsettled. The results were: J. James’ Despised, 5h 29m 30s .... 1 J. Fraser, 5h 33m 15s 2 B. Sole, 5h 33m. 30s 3 Mr. N. Bellringer’s birds were not clocked. The next race will be flown from Picton to-day.
