Values are unchanged, good Italian and perennial being worth up to 2s 6d a bushel on trucks. Italian seed is going from Canterbury and most of the perennial from southern quarters. English offers for cowgrass are still on the low side to permit export; values to farmers are 8d to 9d a lb. There is very little white clover now in farmers’ hands. The market for it is quiet. The cocksfoot market is firm. Akaroa is worth 6d a lb to farmers and plains sd. Little interest exists in the potato market and values remain unaltered. Small lots are going north and in diminishing quantities. Whites are quoted nominally at £3 at ton f.0.b., s.i. and Dakotas at £3 15s to £3 17s 6d.
