ABATTOIRS STRIKE ENDS
FELLMONGERS CONTINUE IDLE.

The abattoirs strikers returned to work to-day and the dispute with the employers has been settled amicably. The fellmongers’ strike, however, is progressing. A mass meeting of operatives to consider the terms has rejected the proposals and the industrial registrar has been informed by the strikers’ leaders that the conditions offered are regarded as unsatisfactory.
