CONCERT AT MOTUROA

ENTERTAINMENT AT SAILORS’ REST. t An enjoyable entertainment was provided at the Sailors’ Rest rooms, Moturoa, last night under the auspices of the W.C.T.U. A concert party organised by Miss V. Ross, New Plymouth, provided a varied and very bright programme which was thoroughly enjoyed by members of the crew of the ships Port Hunter and Inverbank.

Items were given by Miss Ross’ orchestra, vocal solos and duets by Misses A. Pauli and I. Gilbert, violin solos by Miss Ross, and a pianoforte solo by Miss G. Stafford. Mrs. C. M. Steven played the accompaniments for the singing. After an excellent supper provided by the W.T.C.U. a short address was given by Miss Jennie Street, a visitor from London, in which she thanked the performers. She •'also led prayer.
