CRICKET SEASON OPENED
BRIXTON PLAYS HUIRANGI. Tire Brixton cricket club opened its season during the week-end with a friendly match against a Huirangi team. Brixton won on the first innings by 39 runs. Huirangi in the first innings made 32 (N. Denton 16) and in the second 79 (N. Denton 21, A. Arms 18). Brixton in its only innings made 71 (A. Giddy 29, A. Sutton 15, H. Furze 10). A. Giddy, Sutton and Parkins bowled well for Brixton, and Denton, A. Arms and Wells were most effective for Huirangi.
