DENIAL OF ANY INVITATION. SPEECHES TO BE PERUSED. By. Telegraph—Press Association. Christchurch, Last Night. Replying to statements made by the Hon. E. A. Ransom, Mr. E. Howard, M.P., repeats the assertion that no invitation was extended to the Labour Party to join the Coalition. Mr. Howard nominated Dr. J. Hight, rector of Canterbury College, to read through the speeches of the party leaders made on the day the Coalition was announced, and agrees to abide by Dr. Hight’s decision.
