"VTOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that it is the intention of the New Plymouth Borough Council (hereinafter referred to as “the Council”), to introduce in the forthcoming Session of Parliament ’a Local Bill under the title of “The New Plymouth Borough Council and New Plymouth Harbour Board Empowering Act, 1933.” • The objects intended to be effected by the said Bill are as follows:— 1. To facilitate the exercise by the Council of its powers as a Domain Board in respect of the several Domains controlled by it and to apply the By-Laws of the Council to all such Domains. 2. To apply the By-Laws of the Council to the Taranaki Botanic Garden commonly known as “Pukekura Park.” 3. To validate an Agreement entered into between the Trustees of the Estate of Newton King, deceased, and the Council relating to the vesting in the Council of certain lands, portion as a Recreation Reserve and portion as a public street, such lands to be accepted in satisfaction of certain legacies bequeathed to Committees of the Council by the late Mr. Newton King; to waive certain trusts attaching to such legacies and to provide that such lands shall cease to be assets in the said Estate. The legacies referred to were bequeathed to the Pukekura Park, Kawaroa Park and East End Bathing Reserve Committees, and the lands to be vested in the Council comprise a portion of the Estate known as “Brooklands” situate at Brooklands Road, New Plymouth. 4. To empower the New Plymouth 1 Harbour Board subject to existing rights to grant licenses for specified periods and purposes in respect of certain lands situate between Bayly Road and the Hongi Hongi Stream, New Plymouth, Being part of Harbour Reserves I and F and the foreshore abutting thereon, to empower the said Harbour Board to permit the Council to control such lands or any part thereof upon conditions to be prescribed in the license; to confer upon the Council certain specified powers including powers to enable it to accept such a license, acquire and let existing buildings, and to pay license fees, to make the By-Laws of the Council apply to such lands during the currency of any license to it. Licenses to be granted by the Board under the aforesaid powers inter alia may permit buildings now on the said land and occupied as dwel-ling-houses, bathing houses or refreshment rooms to be retained thereon upon such conditions as may be prescribed by the license. AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that cop'ies of the said Bill, the Agreement referred to therein and of the plans of the lands affected by the said Bill have been deposited at the Magistrate’s Court, Robe Street, New Plymouth, and another set of copies of the said Bill, Agreement and plans has been deposited at the public office of the New Plymouth Borough Council, Municipal Buildings, Liardet Street, New Plymouth, and that all such' copies are open to public inspection during office hours without fee for a period of three complete weeks from the first publication of this advertisement.
