COMPETITION RESULTS.

STORY-TELLING- PRIZES. Dear Tinks, Did you think you never would hear which of you had been chosen as our future authoresses ? We are very pleased indeed with the entries, the only sad thing about them being that the Billy Boys were not represented. However, Billikins hopes that they will remember this and that when next time conies their entries will exceed those of the Wendy-ladies. One thing, Tinks, those of you who were-successful and those of you .who will be next time, we noticed that, in some cases, your stories were all too short. We had just begun to be very interested when suddenly you stopped. However, a story too short is a less fault than a story too long, But we are forgetting to tell you who are the winners, and you must be -very, very anxious to know who our clever writers are. ■- " There are three prizes and three "highly commended” stories. The last named three will be published next week. First Prize: Marjorie Borland. Second Prize: Merle Druce. Third Prize: Bernice Hunt. Highly. Commended: Hazel Macdonald; Joyce Hovind; Dorothy Amess. That is all just now, Tinks. I am sure you will agree with us that these little stories are very well written and we are especially proud of Marjorie’s attempt, which shows great originality and the charm of simple wording. Enjoy your holiday—l am sure you do not need telling. Much love from all the Hut folk, Yours, Wendy.
