STRONG JAPANESE DEMAND. BEST POINT OF THE WEEK. By Telegraph—Press Assn. —Copyright. Rec. 10.29 p.m. Sydney, Aug. 31. Keen general competition ruled at the Sydney wool sales to-day, with the market at the best.point of the week. An outstanding feature was the strong Japanese demand. Greasy merino made to 22d. A total of 13,223 ,bales was offered and 12,723 were sold. In addition 5400 bales were disposed of privately.
