BRIDGE EVENING JfELD. An enjoyable evening was spent in the Tainui Private Hotel, Mokau, on Wednesday, when the weekly bridge party was held. There was a good attendance, and prizes for the highest number of points x gained during th® last six nights were won by Mrs. E. Gough and Mr. N. Clifton. The secretary of the committee, Mr. F. Northern, presented the prizes, and thanked the players for their assisting the hall funds. It was decided to hold another series of bridge evenings. Supper was served by the ladies. With the object of forming an athletic club at Mokau a meeting was held in the hall on Monday evening and was well attended. Mr. J. Templer presided. After a lengthy discussion, it was decided to invite the executive of the Tainui Boxing Club to meet the club at a meeting, to be held at Mokau on September 4.
