COASTAL MOVEMENTS. The Kaimiro, which arrived at New Plymouth from Westport early yesterday, completed discharge of 300 tons of coal and sailed late in the afternoon for Auckland. (U.S.S. Co.). The Kini arrived at New Plymouth from Wellington yesterday, and after discharge of 311 tons of coal and 40 tons of general cargos sailed in the afternoon for Westport. (U.S.S. Co.). MOVEMENTS OF OVERSEAS SHIPS. PORT CAMPBELL LOADING. The Port Campbell, which cleared Bluff on Tuesday night for New Plymouth, arrived last evening to continue loading. The vessel is to lift 13,266 boxes of butter, 3764 crates of cheese and 12,000 freight carcases of meat at New Plymouth, and is expected to complete loading by tomorrow night. She will probably sail on Sunday for Wanganui. The Port Campbell is to complete at Wellington, Gisborne and Auckland,, and is to clear Auckland for London, via Cape Horn, on September 13. Captain L. H. Swan is in command of the Port Campbell, and his officers are: Chief officer, Mr. D. G. Bi’adley; second, Mr. M. RowlandHill; third, Mr. C. H. Gorley; fourth, Mr. T. B. The - inter-colonial steamer Kiwitea sailed from Newcastle on Tuesday for New Plymouth, and is due on Monday morning. The vessel has 28 tons of coal, 72 poles, 7000 feet of timber and 17 tons of steel and wire to discharge at New Plymouth before proceeding to Wellington and Picton. PORT HARDY’S ALLOTMENT. The Port Hardy, which is to commence loading at Timaru on September 3, is due at New Plymouth, via Lyttelton. Napier and Auckland, on September 16. She is to lift 6800 freight carcases of meat, 10,000 boxes of butter and 1500 crates of cheese at New Plymouth before proceeding to Wellington; MAMARI TO LOAD. The. Mamari is due at New Plymouth on September 18 from Australia to commence loading, and will later complete at Wellington, Napier, Gisborne and Auckland. She will sail on October 7 for London via Cape Horn. RUAHINE TO CALL. The Ruahine is due at Wellington from London on September 6. The vessel is due' at New Plymouth on September 25 in the course of her New Zealand loading itinerary, and is to lift 5800 freight carcases of meat, 2700 boxes of butter and 2000 crates of cheese. THE WARSHIPS. The New Zealand cruisers Dunedin and Diomede returned to Auckland at seven o’clock yesterday morning, accompanied by the Australian warships Canberra and Australia. The Dunedin and Diomede were berthed at the Sheerlegs Wharf, Devonport, and the Canberra at Central Wharf. The Australia remained anchored in the stream. The Diomede is later to tour the Dominion, and will call at New Plymouth on September 29. MAHANA AT AUCKLAND. The Mahana, which arrived at Auckland from Gisborne late on Tuesday night, berthed on Wednesday morning to complete loading. She is scheduled to sail for London, Avonmouth, Liverpool and Glasgow this afternoon. The vessel loaded at New Plymouth on August 21. ACROSS THE PACIFIC. The Union Steam Ship Company announces greatly reduced excursion return fares from Auckland to Vancouver by the Canadian Australasian Line, and from Wellington to San Francisco by the Union Royal Mail Line, during the months December, 1933, and January and February, 1934. Passengers have the option of proceeding from Auckland to Vancouver and returning from San Francisco to Wellington, or proceeding from Wellington to San Francisco and returning from Vancouver to Auckland (finding their own way between Vancouver and San Francisco and between Auckland and Wellington). The availability of, the tickets is limited to three months from the date of departure from New Zealand to the date of embarkation at the North American port on the return journey. The special return or round-trip fares from Auckland or Wellington will be £7B first class and £SG cabin class, which, compared with the ordinary fares of £lOO 10s and £67, should be very attractive to holidaymakers.
