FIRST DAY’S RESULTS
BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT.
PLAY AT GISBORNE.

The seventh annual tournament of the New Zealand Basketball Association opened this morning in glorious weather and before a large attendance. The only games played to-day were those between second grade teams. The results are:—
Waikato 27 beat Marlborough 13; Wairarapa 30 defeated Manawatu 0; Poverty Bay 20 v. Wairoa 12.
