JUDGMENTS FOR DEBT
CASES HEARD AT NEW PLYMOUTH. In the Magistrate’s Court at New Plymouth . yesterday . a number of summonses for debt were dealt with by Mr. W. H. Woodward, S.M., and judgment for plaintiff by default was given in the following cases: Joseph Swainson v. G. A. Smith, £2 2s Cd (costs £1 4s 6d); Hardwick and Robertson Ltd. v. L. Bicheno, £5 (£1 5s 6d). On a judgment summons A. Healy was ordered to pay £34 19s 6d to the Taranaki Hospital Board, payment to be made fortnightly, at 2s 6d per week, in default seven days’ imprisonment. JLaura Cobum took action against William Riley for possession of a cottage on account of arrears of rent. An order for possession within 14 days was made.
