GOOD SCORES IN MEN’S BRANCH.

At the men's session of the miniature branch of the New Plymouth Rifle Club on Monday night the top score in the “A” grade was made by C. H. Moore with D. P. George next. In the “B” grade C. Millman led with F. Huthnance next in order. The attendance was good and the shooting of an excellent standard. A grade: C. H. Moore 67—69—6? —142?, O. George 69—67—44—1401, W. The B grade leading aggregates are: R. Reichenbach 2131, C. , Millman 212?, T. Robertson 2114, L. T. White 210. The shooting has been of a high standard for B grade shots. W. Gilbert and C. Millman tied for the button, the last named winning in the fire-off. SCORES FOR LADIES’ BRANCHHIGH STANDARD MAINTAINED. Miss Kretschmar, with 69, won the senior button at the ladies’ branch shoot on Tuesday, while Miss Gillespie won the junior button with 68. The shooting maintained the high standard that has been set the last few weeks. The junior grade commenced their third handicap competition, while the seniors will complete a further competition next week. The following' scores were made:— Championship. Seniors: C. Hogg, who has held second place for several weeks, has been displaced by Miss R. Death'. . The cup given by the North Taranaki Farmers’ Union to the Nev/ Plymouth defence Rifle Club will be made the club’s grand aggregate trophy, all scores plus handicap points to be counted and no competitions, to be made up. io win this trophy a competitor’s scores must not only be good, but his attendance at competitions regular.
