A civil claim for £lOl2 I6s for damages for alleged assault was heard before Mr. Justice Kennedy and a jury in the Supreme-Court to-day, the plaintiff being Arthur Lionel _ Austin,. Invercargill, land agent, and the defendant' Hugh Ritchie. Invercargill, accountant. After a retirement of 18 minutes the jury returned a verdict in favour of the defendant. \ '
