APPRECIATION OF SERVICES
MR. J. HINE’S FINE RECORD.
TIKORANGI COMPANY’S TRIBUTE.
Secretary of the company for 30 years and a director for five years prior to that, Mr James Hine had not missed one annual meeting of shareholders of the Tikorangi Dairy Company in that period until vesterday, when owing to ill-health he was unable to be present. Shareholders passed a vote of sympathy with Mr. Hine and expressed the hope that he would coon be restored to health. Later in the meeting the chairman expressed regret that Mr. Hine had been compelled to resign lus position after guch a long and use’ul period off service* He would be relinquishing the. post at the s end of the month. . _ Mr. Hine’s advice on matters pertaining to the dairying industry, and particularly to his own company, had been very valuable and would be sorely missed, remarked Mr. C. Foreman m moving that he company place on ’■ecord its appreciation of his services. During his long erm of office Mr. Hine had held several important positions on boards of directors dealing with various aspects of the in duXf and his services had always been very valuable to his own company par-tlMt-alj y Whitehead seconded the motion, which was carried with acclamation.
