A public meeting of those interested and members of the New Zealand Legion will be held in St. Mary’s Hall to-night at 8, when Dr. Geo. Home will preside. The business set down includes election of committees, organisation and general. As it is desired that as representative a committees as possible be elected it is hoped a large number will attend.*
Entries totalling about a hundred horses of all classes have been received for the Stony River and Waiwakaiho horse fairs to be held by Newton King Ltd. on Tuesday and Thursday next respectively. Included in the entries is a good percentage of well seasoned young farm sorts broken to all work, while hacks and spring carters are also well represented. The details of each fixture are displayed in the auction columns of this issue.*
Three purebred seven-mouth Tamworth boars will be offered at Newton King Limited’s haymarket sale at New Plymouth to-morrow. Corrugated iron and other plumbing material are included in tire advertised offering.*
