COOL, FINE WEATHER
FRESH SOUTHERLY WEATHER
By Telegraph—Press Association.
Wellington, Last Night.
The weather for the most part will be fair to fine but scattered and mainly light showers may be expected on the east coast from Cook Strait northward. Temperatures will be cool to moderate. An intense anti-cyclone still covers the south Tasman Sea and southern New Zealand, but pressure is rather low to the north and is falling also over southeastern Australia. There will be moderate to fresh south to east winds north of Westport and Kaikoura. Elsewhere the winds will be variable. Seas will be smooth to moderate.
