In first-class cricket Freeman has taken 200 wickets this season for the sixth year in succession, a record performance. County cricket matches resulted as follows:— Derbyshire beats Yorkshire. Derbyshire: First innings, 245 (Townsend 81); second, eight for 330 declared (Townsend 100, Lee 82, Jackson 96). Yorkshire: First innings, 218 (Mitchell six for 66); second, two for 137. Derbyshire won on the first innings. Glamorgan beats . Warwickshire. Warwickshire: First innings, 276 (Mercer five for 73); second, two for 248 (Kilner 104). Glamorgan: First innings, 416 (E. Davies 85, Dyson 88, Duckfield 80), Glamorgan won on the first innings. Gloucestershire beats Leicestershire. Gloucestershire: First innings, 278 (Seabrook 110); second, eight for 340 declared (Dacre 69). Leicestershire: First innings, 437 (Berry 127, Astil 156 not out); second, 135. Gloucestershire won by 46 runs. Kent beats. Sussex. , Kent: First .innings, 230 (Valentine 103); second, 216. Sussex: First innings, 109 (Freeman six for 92); second, 128 (Freeman eight for 57). Kent by 149 runs. Lancashire beats Hampshire. Lancashire: First innings, 297 (Watson 94); second, two for 27. Hampshire: First innings, 271 (Mead 113 not out). Lancashire won on the first innings. Northaurts beats Sutrey\ Northants: First innings, 238; second, 257 (Parker four for 43). Surrey: First innings, 232 (Matthews five for 89); second, five for 191 (Barling 91). .
