IS TECHNOCRACY LOGIC? J (To , the Editor.) Sir, —I am interested that the “energy” of the world is equal to. a population of’ 3,900,000,000, but am annoyed .that the census official omitted calling for record of my energy. If .such an official, at -, any time, reverses before the dog of the house, I should be still more interested in the actual measurement of energy. A farmer suggested that if we went back to the use of the scythe much more labour could be used. I suggested that an increased benefit would be obtained by the use of scissors. -I implore you not to become a convert to this ■ new thought, for if, with beneficial ideas towards employment, you take a sledgehammer among the presses, I may be prevented from reading reports of interesting lectures.—l am, etc., H.R.S.
