GEORGE WALKER AT HAWERA. ' CHAMPION’S UNBEATEN RECORD. 1 George Walker, who wrestles Jack Clark at Hawera to-morrow night, has for years dominated the New. Zealapd wrestling world. This is his sixth season in the Dominion, and by the time the season ends he will have had about 190 bouts in the Dominion. -i ■ ' ' ’. To all intents and purposes Walker has been unbeaten for two seasons. The only blemish on his record during that time, is a disputed decision in favour of Stanley Pinto, whom it. was alleged he threw out of the ring at' eWelliiigto. ll ' Altogether he has been beaten only five times in the whole six seasons, though he has wrestled some, of the very, best men like Kotsonaros, Alley, etc, , This year he has had a fine record, - being unbeaten. His visit to Hawera .Will be at the conclusion of a long and successful tour embracing many parts of the South Island and practically : all .the North Island. So popular is Walker.and so much in demand that he has had to use an aeroplane on frequent occasions this year. In Clark Walker has the ideal opponent, one of the same build and style. Clark has everything to gain and nothing to lose by his impetuous attacks which have delighted Auckland and Dunedin audiences, and that is why he makes the pace so furious when he meets Walker. Hawera will have a ‘bout full of action on Friday. ' ' . The popular Taranaki referee Mr. W. J. Claringbold will referee. Special alterations have beep made to the riiig. The following, amateur bouts, have been arranged: J. Burton (Okaiawa) v. C. Watson (Urenui); C. Conway (Hawera) v. J. Schmidt (Normanby); NakU (Okaiawa) v. J. Fake (New Plymouth); Parkes (Opunake) y. bJcNae (Opiinake).
