WORKER STRUCK BY SLING
SERIOUS HEAD INJURY SUFFERED.
ACCIDENT ON BOAT AT LYTTELTON By Telegraph—Press Association/ Christchurch, August ; 15. A watersider, John O. Wilson, aged 54, was seriously injured while working on the Waikawa at Lyttelton. Wilson was ascending a ladder when a sling came adrift, the contents striking him. He received a fracture of . the jaw and his left ear was almost severed.
