TENNIS CLUB'S BIG CREDIT. The first annual meeting of the Ratapiko Tennis Club was held in the Ratapiko hall last week. The president, Mr. W. B. Martin, was chairman. There was a good attendance. The balance-sheet showed the club to be in a sound financial position. Although the club has been in existence only a year it has a credit balance of £97. The club hopes to have two courts ready for play when the coming season opens.

The following officials were elected: President, Mr. W. B. Martin; vice-presi-dents, Messrs. J. Wells, J. Lepper, Chas. Therkleson and W. Willans; secretary, Mr. D. A. Corbett; club committee, Mesdames Willans, Wells and Martin, Messrs. J. Lepper, W. Willans, J. Wells, F. Hill, R. Therkleson and G. Linklater; social committee, Messrs. D. Therkleson, A. Martin, W. Wells, T. Burckett, G. Linklater, R. Therkleson and D. Corbett; ladies’ committee, Mesdames" Willans, Wells, Martin, Dust, Lepper, Corbett and Miss D. Hill.

Miss Rena Stevens left for Wellington last week. The farmers’ busy season has commenced and the lorry is now collecting cream daily. The Ratapjko Football Club is making arrangements for a dance to celebrate its winning the championship.
