FIRE BRIGADE V. FIRE POLICE. The New Plymouth Fire Brigade and Fire Police were engaged in a cribbage and five hundred tournament last night. The results are, Fire Brigade players being mentioned first:— Cribbage: S. Roberts and J. Johnson 11 v. N. Allen and J. Hill 6; A. Courtney and H. Inch 8 v. J. Abbott and J. Blyde 6; W. Way and W. Roch 7 v. A. Smart and O. Cook 3; totals, Fire Brigade 26; Fire Police 15. Five hundred: T. Rawson and R. Giddy 2 v. J. Gadd and V. Garth 4; H. Wodhead and R. Ford 3 v. G. Wigley and B. Beal 5; F. Doughty and J. Hefford 5 v. B. Evans and C. Arnold 4; S. Sadler and B. Plum 0 v. T. Petty and J. Christoffel 3; totals, Fire Brigade 10, Fire Police 16.
