EUCHRE PARTY AND DANCE. The fortnightly euchre party and dance held in the Lincoln Road hall on Friday night was very successful. Mr. E. Dobson had charge of the euchre, and the prizes were won by Mrs. W. Paul and Mr. A. Schmidt. Music for the dance was supplied by Mrs. Trass. The Monte Carlo waltz was won by Miss T. Metcalfe and Mr. K. Harding. The statue waltz was won by Miss O. Nichol and Mr. S. O’Byme. Mr. R. Young was master of ceremonies. There was no score during the basketball practice held last wek. Miss H. Bridgeman was referee. At the basketball practice held on Tuesday the game resulted in a win for Green by 17 goals to 7. Miss E. O’Byrne was referee. The following have been chosen to play a match against Lepperton, at Lepperton, next week:—A team: Misses E. O’Byrne, P. Mehrtens, O. Nichol, R. Mehrtens, M. Wheatley, N. Sarten, N. Johns, M. Winter and Mrs. Anderson. B team: Misses G. Young, V. Dobson, A. Dobson, F. Middlemiss, E. Bennett, H. Bennett, V. Knofflock, M.’Knofflock and T. Metcalfe. Miss N. Johns, who has been staying with her sister, Mrs. Donald, Warea, has returned home.

Mr. and Mrs. Bennett left on Monday for Mokau, where they will be the guests of Mr. and Mrs. M. Cartwright. Miss N. Sarten, who has been staying with her sister, Mrs. B. Anderson, has returned home.

Mrs. N. Gilbert and family, Okaiawa, are the guests of Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Winter.

Mrs. Busby is the guest of her sister, Mrs. R. Dobson. Mr. and Mrs. Howell, Urenui, are the guests of Mr. and Mrs. H. D. Sarten. The Young People’s Committee held a meeting in the hall on Monday night, Mr. G. Steggles presiding. It was decided to hold a dance in the near future for the purpose of raising funds for the Inglewood rest room. A fancy dress dance is being arranged, to take place early in August. A meeting was held in the hall last week for the purpose of forming a football club. Mr. G. Steggles was elected president and Mr, R. Bennett secretary. A club has been formed ,and the first match takes place during this week-end, when the Pukerangiora team will play Waitoriki in Mr. Metcalfe's paddock on Richmond Road.
