APPOINTMENT OF OFFICERS. ? PRODUCERS’ LEAGUE PROPOSED. By Telegraph—Press Association. ' Wellington, Last Night. The liquidator of the Honey Producers’ Association, Mr. C. A. Cooper, addressed the annual conference of the National Beekeepers’ Association to-day on the liquidation proceedings. A resolution was carried expressing satisfaction with what was being done and offering cooperation in finalising matters as quickly as possible. The election of officers resulted: President, Mr. M. Ci A. Pope (Canterbury); vice-president, Mr, M- W. Nelson (Otorohanga); executive, Messrs. W. Watson (Geraldine), L. F. Robins (Temuka), P. A. Hillary (Tuakau), H. R. Penny (Okaiawa, Taranaki). A resolution favouring the formation of a honey exporters’ league as an organisation to protect the interests of the Dominion honey exporters was carried unanimously. “This will be a political organisation to press our political claims,” said the chairman, Mi’. P. A. Hillary, Tuakau: If ever we are not satisfied with the work of the Control Board this league will provide the means whereby we can sec that something more in line with what we want is done.” _ It was stated, however, that the delegates had no reason for dissatisfaction with the Control Board, and a motion of confidence in the board was passed.
