LIAISON WITH BUSINESS OWNERS.

By Telegraph-Press Assn.—Copyright

Melbourne, July 19.

Plans for the reorganisation of the Australian military forces on a mechanised basis have been announced by the Minister of Defence, Sir George Pearce. The policy adopted is in line with the recent development in the British Army and the plans include the training of militia forces in peace time in the use of mechanised units and the establishment of a liaison with the owners of suitable commercial motor vehicles, so that the organisation may be extended in time of war.
