SCHOOL WINS BASKETBALL FINAL. Norfolk school basketball team defeated Egmont Village school in the final for the western division of the Country Schools’ Association. Each team gave a splendid exhibition. Norfolk displayed better form and won by ten goals to seven. The winning team comprised Misses J. Fischer, P. Brown, N. Brown, T. Brown, G. Huzziff, H. Ryan, S. Byrne, W. Aubrey and W. Roy croft. Institute Activity. At the Norfolk Women’s Institute’s special meeting Mr. Mathews demonstrated basket-making from reed loom. It was an outstanding demonstration. Mr. Mathews was accorded a vote of thanks. The hostesses were Mesdames L. Brown, N. Brown and W. Meyer. School Funds Assisted. A successful euchre and dance party was held at the Norfolk school on Tuesday to aid school funds. The prizes went to Mrs. Davis, Miss E. Reeve and Messrs. A. Dombroski and H. Comey. Excellent music for the dance was supplied by Mr. Humphries. Mr. Byrne was master of, ceremonies. Personal Items. Miss F. Comey is the guest of her sister, Miss M. Corney. Mrs. Allan, Normanby, is staying with Mrs. Kaye. Mrs. Porter, who has been the guest of Mrs. Gane, Normanby, has returned home.
