WHEAT PRODUCTION DECLINE
ESTIMATE FIFTH BELOW 1932. / ' RUSSIAN ACREAGE AS PLANNED. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Washington, July 16. The Agriculture Department estimates the 1933 wheat production in the 12 northern hemisphere countries at about 19 per cent, less than in 1932. The United States leads the decline, while reports from Canada and Europe, excluding Russia, indicate a lowered production. The Soviet Commissariat of Agriculture has announced that spring sowings are completed over an area of 232,000,000 acres, only 2 per cent, below the area planned. . • , .
