During the six months ended June 30, 1933, 71 building permits, valued at £9852, were issued by the Hamilton Borough Council. These included seven new private dwellings, £3505; two business premises, £108; and three other buildings, £46. The balance was made up from the following alterations and additions:— 40 private dwellings, £1675; 16 business premises, £933; three other buildings, £3585. In the same period last year 91 permits, valued at £14,443, were issued.
