MATCH AT PUNGAREHU. A match between teams representing the New Plymouth office of Newton King Ltd. and the . Coast Golf. Club was played on the Pungarehu links in the W'2ek-end, the New Plymouth team winning by six games to two.,. ; Following are the results. New Ply* mouth names first:— Morning: Thorne and King defeated Fleming and Smith 4 up, Renner and Chapman defeated Edmonds and Harte 2 up, Healy and Kidd defeated Roots and Bennet 1 up, Jones and Smith lost to Priest and Pukehika 2 up. Afternoon:' Thorne and Benner defeated Fleming and Edmonds 1 up, Chap-
man’and Jones defeated Harte and Roots 3 up, Healy and Fouhy defeated Smith and Pukehika 2 up, Kidd and King lost to Priest and Bennet 1 up. The Coast competition for the Tahoma Cup will take the form of a mixed foursome and will be played on handicap over 18 holes on July 30. All members who wish to take part are to assemble at the links not later than 1.15 p.m. on that' date, when the draw for partners will be made.
