DAIRY BOARD PROPAGANDA

ADVERTISING IN GREAT BRITAIN. PERSONAL REPRESENTATIONS. The need for greater propaganda in popularising New Zealand dairy produce in England was stressed by Mr. Dynes Fulton, acting-chairman of the Dairy Board, in an address at Hawera yesterday. He outlined briefly the board s advertising proposals. The proposal was to raise £25,000 for advertising by an increase in the levy. This allocation would be spent in conjunction with Australia, though there would be no confusion of the products of the two countries. New Zealand should work in conjunction with- Australia as far as possible, but should not lose its own entity. New Zealand had not advertised, its produce in the past as much as it might have done, continued Mr. Fulton. The time was now opportune for the Dominion to do something more. The campaign would be more than newspaper propaganda, which would be followed up in various directions. The board at present had two representatives calling on the stores with excellent results. Rapidly increasing production made it essential to stimulate consumption as much as possible.
