Decorations more elaborate than in previous years have been used in the Agricultural Hall, in which the annual New Plymouth tramways ball is to be held to-night with the object of supplementing the tramway sick and benefit fund. The designs adopted by the decorators are certainly original, the general effect being made more striking by a liberal use of coloured lights. Twenty valuable prizes and tinned fruits and soups for the supper have already been given for the Mayoral Ball to be held at New Plymouth on August 24. ; - ;
