RAHOTU DISTRICT NEWS
WOMEN’S DIVISION AFTERNOON. The Rahotu Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union arranged a pleasant afternoon recently in the Legion of Frontiersmen pavilion, Kahui Road. Progressive euchre was played, the prizes being won by Mesdames L. Billing, W. Hopkins and R. Morgan. Mr. and Mrs. Percy Parker have returned home. Mr. and Mrs. Cooke, Pihama, have been staying with Mrs. Poole. Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Looney have returned to Rahotu. Miss Flossie Williamson and Miss Nella Weaver are visiting New Plymouth. Mr. and Mrs. W. Fairhurst are absent on holiday. The Kahui Road people are considering building a hall. A euchre party was held in aid of the funds on Friday night. Mrs. Norgate and Mr. P. Byrnes won the prizes.
