PERSONAL ITEMS. Messrs. R. Boyles, W. Adlam, G. Jacobsen, C. Phillips, Midhirst, are taking their annual holidays. Mr. and Mrs. Clem Phillips and family have gone to Auckland. Mrs. Smith and Miss E. Smith, who have been the guests of Mrs. G. Smith, have returned to Opunake. Mr. F. Spencer, stationmaster, is taking his annual leave. Mr. J. Costelli, Midhirst Dairy Company. is on holiday. A successful euchre party was held in the Oddfellows’ Hall by the Anglican Ladies’ Guild on Wednesday afternoon. The prize-winners were Miss Wardell 1, Mrs. C. Burton 2. Afternoon tea was served by members of the guild. Mrs. V. Redward (Waitara) was the guest of Mr. and Mrs. W. Platt last week-end. Mrs. T. Dill, senior, secretary of the Women's Division of the Farmers’ .Union, attended the conference at Wellington.
