MR. JUSTICE ADAMS TO RETIRE.

CONSIDERATION BY THE CABINET.

A vacancy will shortly. occur on the Supreme Court bench owing to the retirement of Mr. Justice Adams, who is at present on extended leave. It is the intention of the Government to. fill the vacancy, and the question of appointing a successor is engaging the attention of Cabinet. It is not likely that any announcement will be made until the retirement of Mr. Justice Adams actually takes effect.
